Ryan first fell in love with beer while on travel in Belgium. After completing his MS in Applied Science at the College of William and Mary, he decided to pursue brewing as a career and counts that choice among his best in life. He has brewed professionally on both coasts and also spent time dabbling in the winemaking industry. When he's not making beer he listens to heavy metal, occasionally travels the world (29 countries so far), and desperately tries not to spend all his money on Magic cards and board games.
