Greg is the “old man” on the team. In 2020, he retired from a 40-year career in Corporate Finance and decided to “lean in” to his craft beer hobby. A home brewer for more than 10 years, and a craft beer enthusiast for even longer, he decided that the best way to spend his retirement years would be to find a “hobby job.”  At first, he worked in a bottle shop, selling over 750 different craft beers, leading beer tastings and filling growlers.  However, he wanted to get closer to the source, and eventually found his way to Beltway, first as a bartender and a brewing assistant and then as Taproom Manager.  His passion for craft beer and his knowledge of beer styles and brewing methods allows him to engage our customers in their own craft beer journey.  Greg has lived in Northern Virginia for more than 40 years. He and his wife are “empty-nesters,” having 2 adult children, and have filled that void with 2 playful dogs.
